Skills Requirements:
Education: No specific education is required;
Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in auto glass installation and installation with wire removal tools (manual and automated).
Additional skills:
Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, computer use, continuous learning;
Ability to work in fast paced environments;
Ability to use automated wire removal systems;
Ability to lead and follow directions;
Attention to detail;
Ability to manage time with a sense of urgency when required;
Customer service oriented;
Willing to assist in training and development of other co-workers learning the trade
Job duties / Specific skills:
Experience reviewing damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed;
Experience repairing and replacing glass components;
Experience repairing and replacing damages windows and windshields;
Experience using reciprocating windshield removal tools;
Experience using pull/cold knives;
Experience using olfa knives and appropriate chisels; and
Experience with windshield stone repair bridges
