
CALGARY, MARCH 27th 2016: The Calgary Jazz Orchestra presents the Adderley Brother's Reimagined and the music of Nat King Cole. The concert takes place at River Park Church, 3818 14a Street SW on Sunday, April 17th, 2016 at 7:00 PM for all ages to enjoy. Tickets are available at calgaryjazzorchestra.com. The CJO, directed by Johnny Summers, is comprised of Calgary's top professional musicians. Many of the musicians in the orchestra have won awards including 7 Global Music Awards including best male vocalist, TD Grand Jazz Award, 2016 Juno nominee and the WCMA Heritage Award. The jazz orchestra is in their 11th season of music entertainment and is serious about performing outstanding and challenging music, connecting with the audience and having a great time themselves.
THE ADDERLEY BROTHER'S REMINAGINED - Lead Alto Saxophonist Gerry Hebert is releasing a new album recorded with his quintet. The CJO will be performing original arrangements based on Gerry Hebert's cd to celebrate.
THE MUSIC OF NAT KING COLE - Nat King Cole's legacy of music is astounding in depth with many songs that have become unforgettable. The CJO will be performing new arrangements of his music for Jazz Orchestra and vocals. $25
